Silence at Philosopher Falls: Inside the Psychic investigation of Celine Cremer

The disappearance of Celine Cremer is a missing person case from Tasmania, Australia, involving a Belgian backpacker who vanished during a solo bushwalk in June 2023.

Celine Cremer was last seen on 17 June 2023 in the Waratah region of north-west Tasmania, near the Philosopher Falls walking track. She had been travelling alone and had driven to the area in her vehicle before setting out on a short hike into nearby rainforest.

Shortly after her disappearance was reported, police located her car parked at the Philosopher Falls car park, confirming her last known starting point.

She visited local shops shortly before heading out
Her vehicle was later found at Philosopher Falls car park
Her mobile phone last transmitted a signal in the same general timeframe

She was reported missing several days later after failing to make contact or return.

Search Operation

A large-scale search was launched in the Philosopher Falls area and surrounding wilderness.

Search efforts included:

Tasmania Police search and rescue units
SES ground teams
Helicopters and drone support
Specialist bush search personnel

The search focused on dense rainforest terrain, steep gullies, and river systems surrounding the walking track.

Despite extensive operations, no immediate trace of her was found during the initial search phase.

Environment and Conditions

The Philosopher Falls region is part of Tasmania’s remote west coast rainforest, characterised by:

Dense vegetation and limited visibility off-track
Cold and rapidly changing weather conditions
Slippery terrain and steep drops near waterways
Areas where phone signal is intermittent or absent

Police noted at the time that conditions in the area were severe and potentially dangerous for an unprepared walker.

Later Developments

In 2025 and early 2026, renewed searches in the area led to the discovery of personal items and later human remains in bushland near the Arthur River system, not far from the original search zone.

Authorities later confirmed that forensic analysis provided strong evidence that the remains were those of Celine Cremer, bringing closure to the case after a prolonged investigation.

The working conclusion from authorities is that she became lost in the wilderness after leaving the marked track, likely in difficult environmental conditions.

About this Psychic Investigation

My interest in the Celine Cremer case came about whilst I was watching a documentary on You Tube by Rob Parsons about Celines final footsteps. Rob was an incremental part in locating Celines remains and his films provide on the ground footage and insights into her movements on the day based off of her phone data. Rob works the theory that Celine wandered off the trail and became lost in the forest. He retraces her footsteps and aims at understanding her decision making on the day. Whilst watching these documentaries I began to pick up information, sensations and knowings which provided a different theory and spiked my curiosity even further than physical retracement. Too many poor decisions didnt make sense, too many flips of the coin went against her, too many bad luck moments and too many illogical choices just didnt sit right with me. I decided to investigate Celine.

This blog series documents a dedicated psychic investigation into the case, aimed at uncovering intuitive leads and information in an attempt to understand baffling proposed ‘decisions’ Celine made on the day she went missing. By connecting to Celine Cremer through psychic mediumship, I aim to look past the years of conflicting theories and to connect directly with Celine for information as to what happened and influenced her decision making on that fatal day.

In this second instalment I look at Celines decision to abandon the water race and enter the dense, trackless forest. This is a decision often viewed as illogical for an experienced hiker. However, at this GPS point, I received a strong impression which explains what could have prompted her to seek a more difficult, alternative route back to the car park. Viewed through this lens, her subsequent choices look less like navigational errors and more like a tactical attempt to bypass the path. She appeared to prioritise the safety of the deep woods over the risk of returning the way she came.
