Background

On the evening of 27 September 2025, four-year-old August "Gus" Lamont disappeared from Oak Park Station, a remote pastoral property in South Australia's north-east.

According to publicly released information, Gus was last seen playing outside the family homestead at approximately 5:00 pm. Family members searched the property before notifying police later that evening.

The disappearance prompted one of the largest land searches in South Australian history. Search efforts involved South Australia Police, State Emergency Service volunteers, Australian Defence Force personnel, specialist search teams, drones, aircraft, mounted police, canine units, Aboriginal trackers, and local volunteers. Despite extensive searches across rugged terrain, dams, mine shafts, and surrounding pastoral land, no confirmed trace of Gus has been located.

In February 2026, South Australia Police officially declared the investigation a Major Crime. Investigators stated there was no evidence that Gus simply wandered away or was abducted by a stranger. Police also confirmed that a resident of Oak Park Station was considered a suspect after inconsistencies were identified during the investigation. Authorities have stated that Gus's parents are not suspects.

Investigation Background

My investigation into the disappearance of Gus Lamont began after I saw South Australia Police (SAPOL) make a public appeal on television, requesting any information that could assist in locating Gus's remains and progressing the investigation.

Moved by that appeal, I decided to undertake an independent forensic mediumship investigation to determine whether any intuitive impressions or communications might emerge that could provide an additional perspective for the investigating team.

As with every case I undertake, my intention was to approach the investigation with respect, compassion, and an open mind, carefully documenting the information received before sharing it with the appropriate authorities. My hope was simply to contribute, in whatever way possible, to the ongoing search for answers for Gus and those who continue to seek him.

Beyond the Unseen documents missing persons cases, cold cases, and unresolved mysteries through forensic mediumship and psychic investigation. Each case is approached with compassion, integrity, and respect for those affected and the ongoing work of investigators.
