Gus Lamont Investigation # 1: the Mysterious White Powder
Missing Gus Lamont is currently an ongoing criminal investigation. Gus vanished from the family farm between about 5:00 and 5:30 p.m., relatives say. He’d been playing in the yard, but was gone when checked shortly after. Police report no activity on farm roads—no dust or tire marks. Three adults were on the property at the time. Two grandparents and the mother. Grandparent 1 was looking after Gus and his sibling whilst Grandparent 2 and the mother were off looking for lost sheep. Searchers found no tracks away from the farmyard except one distant footprint which has now been disregarded by police. A nearby dam was drained, mine shafts checked, and ground searches extended beyond the property.
I first decided to investigate Gus after seeing a media release by South Australian Police Task Force Horizon requesting assistance from anyone who knows anything in regard to the location of missing Gus Lamont. I decided to reach out to Gus to see if anything of assistance came through.
The Psychic Investigation - I initally utilised psychic mediumship to connect to Gus and soon obtained a clear vision through Clairvoyance, Clairaudience and Claircognisance.
I see Gus Lamont playing with an old plastic toy truck in front of a white pile of soil substance that shimmers oddly in the light.
The truck is a battered lorry with a blue cab and a red body; sometimes I also picture it as a vintage toy concrete mixer, its colour faded and dulled by constant time.
I study the pile of white substance more closely, trying to decide what it really is.
I hear Cooper Pedy in my head, but more strongly I see the film Limbo and that endless, powdery white landscape.
The mound is clearly man‑made, like four bulldozer scoops dumped on flat ground—maybe twice times the size of Gus when he’s seated. He sits at its base, on the level earth, utterly absorbed. I can tell he has crossed over because he has appeared doing something he loves that gives him joy. He holds out his small hands, and they are dusted with a fine, chalky residue.
Analysis
I begin my investigation by trying to ascertain what the pile of white soil substance is that Gus is playing at the base of. I have the clues “Coober Pedy” and the film “Limbo”. I research what creates the landscape in both of these places. I learn the white chalky substance in both of these is Gypsum. I learn that Gypsum is a white mineral that forms on landscapes creating a moon like white appearance. As soon as I discover this mineral I feel very strongly a truth and know that this is the substance Gus is playing at the base of.
Looking further into Gypsum, I learn it is a common ingredient in cement and take note of the link to the vintage cement truck that appears in the vision. Gypsum is used in construction to make plaster and cement. It also has agricultural uses on sheep properties: it can be added to soil to break up clay, included in feed, used to clear water in dams muddied by clay, and even applied to dam walls to seal leaks.
One specific use is to remove clay from dams by causing clay particles to bind and settle to the bottom; the dam’s colour changes as suspended clay is reduced and the particles clump and sink. I wonder whether that process could effectively create a new bottom in a dam. It roughly takes 30 days for a dam to clear. I explore whether Gypsum could create a false bottom but learn that this most likely would not be possible due to the way it binds to the clay particles.
Regardless, I document the links to cement and dams.
I also notice that the pile is man made and looks to be in a man made pile. I think of landscape suppliers due to the flat surface that Gus is playing on and that the Gypsum is deposited on. It is unusually flat and I note that it is not natural formed ground.
Conclusion:
The clues I take from this initial enquiry are: gypsum, a man-made pile on flat ground, a lorry, Gus at the bottom of a pile, a cement mixer truck and elements related to cement and dams.
